Over the summer, the computer lab went through a complete transformation. We went from a "Mac Lab" to a "PC Lab". There were 34 Dells installed for the students to use. They are much faster than our older Macs and the students are adapting to the new format rapidly. The computer lab is open Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday during the lunch hours for the kids to come in if they so choose. They can surf the Internet or work on assignments. It has become a very popular place!
We are also excited abut our 20 station Mac mobile lab. It consists of 20 laptops and a printer. Teachers are able to check the lab out for half a day or for the whole day. The lab can be wheeled into their room for indepth research projects. The mobile lab is getting a real "work-out". Teachers give a detailed demonstration on the care and use of the laptops before the students are allowed to handle them. We look forward to many ideas on how to best use the mobile lab to it's fullest potential.
